Chinese nationals have become the main foreign buyers of real estate in the United States. Chinese home-building firm China Construction America says 40 percent of all real estate construction projects in Manhattan in the past few years have featured investment by Chinese companies, and that these investors are not free riding, but leading a boom in the US housing market.
